Hi-de-Hi Spring Production

The Crowborough Players are pleased to announce that tickets are now available for our Spring production of  Hi-de-Hi.

Hi-de-Hi is a comedy set in "Maplins", a fictional British holiday camp in the 1950's. Based on the BAFTA award-winning TV comedy series of the same name and written by the TV shows writers, it features all the characters viewers will know from the show: Mr Fairbrother, chief Yellow Coat Gladys Pugh, camp comedians Ted and Spike and, of course, cleaner and would-be Yellow Coat, Peggy, among many others.

 Hi-de-Hi offers entertainment for children and adults, fans of the show and people completely new to the world of Maplins!

Read-throughs/Auditions for spring play

Hot on the heels of our enormously successful panto we are now planning for our spring play, which will be a comedy. This will be for adult cast members only, but don't worry - discussions are underway to arrange something for the younger members too.

There will be open read-throughs/auditions for the spring play at the following times, at the Crowborough Community Centre:

• Sunday 13th January - 4.30 to 6.00pm - Meeting room 1
• Tuesday 15th January - 8.00 to 9.30pm - Meeting room 2
  

There are two dates to make sure as many people as possible can put themselves forward, but if you can make both that would be great. We will be looking at a few different scripts before making a firm decision on what to do.

To make sure everyone is clear what they are committing to, the arrangements for the play are as follows:

• 2 or 3 performances (TBC - dependent on the final choice of play) on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May
• Rehearsals from 20th January - on Sunday afternoons and a weekday evening (Tuesday or Thursday - TBC based on what fits best with the cast)

Everyone is very welcome to just turn up to the read-throughs/auditions on the day, but if you could let Ade, the director, know you're thinking of attending that would be really helpful. Email: crowborough.players@gmail.com

Box Office

The Box Office is now closed.

Tickets are available on the door for the evening performances at £10 (no concessions, no group discounts).

The Saturday matinee performance is sold out, but there are some tickets left for both evening performances (however, there aren't many!!)
